The Geosphere is the world in which I work. It has been in creation since I was very young and has grown and, like all living things, it will continue to grow and change immensely throughout its existence. It is a young world where it starts in the first novel I wrote (Death’s Devotion) and is in its early stages of life through the current WIPs.

The Geosphere is an abstract, non-spherical planet comprised of conscious primal god-like entities
known as the Geos. It is, in a way, a brain, with two major hemispheres (continents) representing the
Chaos and Order of the world. The world is, however, non-binary, and therefore each section has
multiple interpretations and meanings.

<Order = Zen = Natural = Sustain = Apollonian = “Ego”>

<Chaos = Dak’Ardi = Unnatural = Create = Dionysian = “Id”>

The creators (primal gods) are supreme Ideas and the world itself. These entities comprise the entirety of the Geosphere. The cognizant beings of the Geosphere know and understand these entities inherently.

<Earth = Dona = Body = Physical = Ground>

<Air = Mort = Breath = Spiritual = Sky>

<Water = Nye = Blood = Interconnection = Sea>

<Fire = Neris = Mind = Consciousness = Soul>

Though they, altogether, both created and makeup the Geosphere, they have no power over that which
has been made. Their purpose, in a sense, is done.

The only Geos still actively creating is Neris. Neris’ gift of consciousness inevitably created the deities of
the world. They are not born, but self-made, and their numbers are constantly growing. These beings
are known as Influences. In life, they influenced those around them so profoundly or were themselves
so enraptured with certain emotions that their energy and their Threads of Fate became tainted. In death, they became/become
Paragons of their Influence, allowing them to encourage or manipulate the cognizant beings through the
Threads that link everyone together.

The Beings of the Geosphere

The main beings can be categorized as the guardians, flauric, faunic, creatures or beasts.

The Guardians were created to protect the divine vision of the Geos. The Sha exist in the air and on land, while the Dah reign the waters. The Sha eventually grew to include the Defenders and Warriors, while the Dah raised sisters and brothers from living inhabitants.
The Sha Mothers then carved soldiers from the crystalline stone of the land, creating the guardian race known as the Sentinel.

The Sha Mother’s were gifted with all the Geos’ remaining power of creation, granting them elemental control and everlasting life which they then passed down to their Defenders and in time to the Warriors. What remained went to the soldiers which they carved from stone.

Ayrian > North > Ice > Water

• Sha’Vandanya > Mother of All
• Sha’Veskyr > Guardian
• Sha’Vrndo > Warrior

Kayuuli > West > Magma > Fire

• Sha’X’era > Mother of All
• Sha’Xi > Guardian
• Sha’Xendwani > Warrior

Belvedii > East > Venom > Earth

• Sha’Yoganda > Mother of All
• Sha’Ya’tue > Guardian
• Sha’Yenbo > Warrior

Sa’av > South > Electricity > Air

• Sha’J’meera > Mother of All
• Sha’Jotun > Guardian
• Sha’Jyrhanak > Warrior

All are connected.

This is represented in the Geosphere as actual threading between objects and space. Though invisible and intangible, some focused individuals can see and control them through disciplined practice.

Threads of Fate / Fate’s Threads

Threads of Fate always exist and cannot be created or destroyed. The end of a physical life signals a Thread’s return to the Geosphere. The spirit can then ascend to Mort and become a star to watch over the others, fade from existence, or be reborn again. Befouled or distressed spirits become ghosts that haunt the realms of life and death, unable to return to the Body and too disturbed to ascend to the Sky.

Threads of Influence / Influence’s Thread

Influences are the influential deities of the Geosphere. Unlike the primal gods, they can alter the living through their respective Influence. They can manipulate Threads of Fate, create their own, or taint others.

Influences

An Influence is a Paragon of an influential aspect of the respective deceased individual. Their Fate Threads became so enraptured with their specific influence in life, that they became a Paragon of said influence in death. Like ghosts, their energy became too tainted to be reabsorbed, reborn, or dispersed. Their lifeless, colorless forms are kept in the Hall of Influences in the Heart of the Geosphere. Their numbers are continually growing, as Influences are self-made.

Hall of Influences

The Hall is less a hall and more a room of infinite alcoves, but no matter how far one walks down the hall, they are always in the same place. Each alcove contains a resting Influence fulfilling their purpose. The Influence’s Thread extends from the tip of the alcove where it meets with all Threads, including the Threads of Fate. They extend up into the world through the Ends, or abyssal caverns that serve as direct pathways to the Heart.

Ends

Ends are pathways to the Heart of the Geosphere where the Threads of the world disperse to support life. The most important Ends of Zen appear at the four purest directions: North, South, East, and West. Like pores on skin, small caverns exist all over the Geosphere, but the major four on Zen are the locations of the strongest energy at the beginning of existence. The Sha and Dah Mothers were created when the Oberas infected Dak’Ardi to protect Zen’s Ends and the Geos’ primal vision.
